Karl and Julie have become dear friends, and they made our first Thanksgiving in Serbia one we will always remember. Here is a picture of them with the delicious turkey they prepared.

Caleb wants to say "hi" to all his friends and family in North America (his words exactly)!

Here is a picture of one of Samantha's favorite spots. She is attempting to climb up the ladder to get to big brother's bed. Samantha loves to sit up there with Caleb and me. I (for obvious reasons) do not especially like this. But when I don't pick her up and put her on top, she throws her head back and tries to pull herself up to the next step. She's a mess!

Earlier this month, we were treated to a mountaintop view of our town and the surrounding villages. Mt. Kablar is one of the tallest mountains that surround Cacak, and Caleb especially loved hiking up the last part and throwing rocks off the mountain to see them fall. He was a little too fearless for me; I made him hold Tim's hand most of the time!

Here is a picture of Samantha's cake. There is a place called "Desserts" that specializes in making cakes. The great news is that it is in walking distance of our home. It was our first cake from Serbia, and it was delicious!

Samantha Turns One!
On November 18, our "Little One" turned one! She loved her cake (big surprise) and had a wonderful time at her party. We were blessed to celebrate the big day with friends who already adore our little girl. We certainly think she is something special!

Here is a picture of our wood for the winter. It's the most wood I (Jennifer) have ever seen! It is in a huge pile on our driveway. Much to Caleb's dismay, his mother has forbidden him from climbing on top of it. But he is excited about throwing the wood down the chute that goes from our driveway to the basement.

Is there anything cuter than a baby in winter jammies?

One of Samantha's favorite things to do is look at her photo album. She will sit on my lap and watch me as I point at each picture of our family and friends. She especially likes the pictures of her big brother and her cousins!

Here is a picture of Tim and Caleb after walking to the nearest store. Caleb got some apple juice, and Tim got a Coca-Cola. This was the boys' first outing together, and Caleb was very proud of himself for not getting tired from all the walking.

Our First Snow in Serbia
This past Friday we had our first snow! It was more of a dusting, but Caleb still wanted to put on all of his "snow clothes." Here is a picture of Caleb about to hit Daddy with a snowball. The driveway is below (you can see the basketball goal), and Caleb is standing on the roof over the garage.
