In Serbia, May 1st is a holiday (similar to Labor Day in the States). Becky, Natalie, and I took a bus to Belgrade and met our friends Mirela and Dragana for some sight-seeing. The weather was absolutely beautiful - gorgeous blue skies and spring temperatures. One of my favorite places was the Cathedral of St. Sava. It is the largest Orthodox church in use and is dedicated to the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church. We also saw some beautiful parks and visited another church (pictured below). A wedding was being held in this church, and we were able to watch the ceremony from a distance. It was my first experience as a wedding crasher.
